VACANCIES FOR VISITOR SERVICES ATTENDANT - TEAM SUPERVISOR

THE AWAKENING, ST MICHAEL’S CAVE

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join ‘The Awakening’ team as a Team Supervisor! We are a small but growing team working in a fun, fast paced and unique environment at St Michael’s Cave.

The responsibilities of a Visitor Services Attendant Supervisor include but are not limited to the following:

CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EXPERIENCE MONITORING

  • Face-to-face interaction with visitors to enhance their experience of ‘The Awakening’ at St Michael’s Cave.

  • Guiding visitors through the cave and providing them with a memorable experience

  • To develop knowledge of the operation of ‘The Awakening’ system to ensure the experience is performing correctly.

  • Identify faults, incidents or hazards and act on them accordingly.

  • Training and teaching will be provided.

SALES

  • Support the operation of the photobooth which includes the use of the greenscreen to capture photos of visitors.

  • Encourage visitors to take and view their photos as part of ‘The Awakening’ experience

  • Till operation and cash handling

  • Monitoring stock levels

OPERATIONAL SUPERVISION

As a supervisor, you will be directly responsible for the daily operation and performance of the team including the following:

  • Performance of the photobooth operation and merchandise sales

  • Oversight of ‘The Awakening’ team to ensure an enhanced visitor experience

  • Maintaining good relationships with tour operators/guides and other staff members on site

  • Maintaining communication with management to report on daily operational performance.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Full time – 40 hours per week (between 4 and 6 days per week depending on shift pattern)

  • Shift work between the hours of 9am and 7pm, Monday to Sunday

  • Candidates must be willing to work weekends

  • Overtime may be required for after hours events and early openings/late closes.

  • £8.50/hour starting salary, with the opportunity for event overtime at a higher rate.

Candidates best suited to the role will be confident, personable and professional, bringing enthusiasm and personality to the role.

Experience in team leading is required and experience in customer service, retail or hospitality is beneficial

A good command of English is essential and the ability to speak multiple languages is preferable.

Personal transport must be considered as the role is based at St Michael’s Cave.
